Happy Wednesday!
One of the most requested topics I got during my survey in January (wait, was it December?), was to write more plant-based and vegan content.
I loved this idea, so I bumped another topic I had scheduled for February, and decided to do a big bundle on Plant-Based Diets. This was a lot of fun to work on - there was a lot I didn't know..
Like I had NO Idea plant-based and vegan diets were not the same thing. Many people do end up going almost entirely vegan after being plant-based for a while. But plant-based itself is more about adding more plant foods into your diet, like fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds, whole grains, beans and legumes.
You can still have some animal-based products on occasion, but it is much closer to a flexitarian diet, where most of the time you eat plant-based foods, and every once in a while maybe add in some poultry, meat, eggs, or dairy.
It's a really healthy, balanced "diet" - so much that I don't like using the word diet, and used the term lifestyle in a lot of the content.
Ok, enough rambling.. this is what I have for you.
