Tips for Using Massive Packages - Basically Everything JR Lang Releases
I know when you get this much content at once, it can be a little overwhelming. You see how much there is to work with, but coming up with an actual plan is something else entirely.
Here are just a few quick tips for how to approach it:
1. Decide Where to Publish and Promote
I think this is the most important first step, because it can determine the next decisions you make. If you already have a self-help or personal development blog, then you could definitely use a lot of this content on your current blog and really provide value to your readers and your list.
There is also the option of starting a brand new blog, either about this topic only, or a more generalized personal development blog. You can also use some content for your current blog, and some for a brand new one - she provides enough content to split it up!
If you're interested, here are a few domain names I found for this topic:
personalpowermindset. com
personalpowerinspiration. com
findyourinnerpower. com
2. Write Everything Down in Your Own Words
This is something I do constantly when I am confronted with a lot of information and details at once. In fact, I do it when I am promoting a package like what JR lang offers, because it helps me wrap my head around it and look at it in a more simplistic way as to not get overwhelmed.
Yeah, I go through a lot of notebooks.
Just look at the list of content you get, either from the sales page, the list I gave you above, or by looking at the content itself. Write each separate element down in list form - the act of writing not only helps you simplify the list of content, but it will give you ideas as you go down the list. Trust me, it works.
3. Highlight What You Will Do With Certain Elements
Right away, you will probably know how you want to use certain parts of this PLR package. Here are some of the things I came up with:
eBook: Ignite Your Personal Power - Sell on blog or use as an opt-in report
7 Day Email Series: Personal Power - Follow-up emails after purchasing the eBook
Report: Transform Your Relationship With Failure - opt-in report
Workbook: Develop Your Personal Power - Give away as a free bonus
30 Day Challenge: Develop Your Personal Power - New email series or blog series
21 New Articles - Blog posts
4 Editable Infographics - Promote eBook/report on social media
Though of course your list could be completely different, depending on your needs and what type of blog you're working with. And this is less than half of the content you get in JR's new package - so you can see how many options there are.
I just like to start with one thing at a time, first beginning with what I KNOW i want to do with something, then kind of going from there down the list. If you know you want to use the eBook to sell on your blog or use as an opt-in, then you know you will need follow-up emails, maybe some blog posts that link to the opt-in page, free bonuses to give as a gift to your new subscribers, and the list goes on.
4. Create a More Detailed Outline
Once you have made some notes and highlighted certain elements from the PLR package, you can then start working on a more detailed outline. Definitely create this however it makes the most sense for you, but if it were me, I would want to put it in order of how your readers or list will get the information. You can always change it later!
I know that many of you already have systems in place for how and when to use your PLR packages, but I am also a BIG supporter of simplifying and writing things down. I find that pen and paper really helps me to brainstorm the best. But you do you!
5. Use a Spreadsheet for Everything Else
If you are not going to use everything in this PLR package (which is likely since there is so much), I would put all the elements not being used into an Excel spreadsheet or some other handy list you can reference later. That way, it is easy to see what content you still have to work with when you have more self-help topics to explore.
